If a Star Had a Wish
If a star had a wish, what would it say?
From where I sit, I'm frozen—captivated—I stay.
Far away, you dance in beauty, a flicker in my eyes,
Seduced by your light, I am pensive with why.
Thoughts within thoughts, lost in your world,
A writer awaits her task, drawn to your lure.
Raptured in words—passion personified,
Had me at first sight, a love magnified.
A falling star—a midnight autumn wish,
Don’t leave me with blank verse—fate’s sealed kiss.
Await I will -pen ready in pose
Writing my love, my dedication, my ode.
I see the brightest star, and she sees me,
Shooting past moonlit, drunken trees.
Through the endless divide, I reach unseen,
A whisper of fate in silver sheen.
A star’s quiet sigh, a lingering light,
Drifting beyond into infinite night.
